Let’s look into last week’s events!
Pickleball Meetup S1E10
Another weekday to play pickleball is a weekday spent well:

(apolocheese for the low quality photo)
We had 4 teams competing over rapid fire 5 point games!
Vibe Coding Session at Doolally Andheri
We kicked off the weekend on Saturday with our vibe coding session:

We spent three hours coding with AI and more importantly talking about software, past projects and the current job conditions.
Anthony ended up building a simple score tracker for pickleball rally games with three prompts in Windsurf that was hosted here.
Pickleball Meetup S1E11

Due to a lack of communication from the court we had to change the venue at the last minute for our pickleball meetup to Botanical Gardens.
Our Uhtendees were super co-operative and we had two hours of game time with three teams rolling in and out!
Xapril Beyblade X Tournament 2025
After the pickleball meetup, Anthony headed back home and quickly went off to host a Beyblade X Tournament at Exogos Vikhroli.
We had 19 participants competing in a double elimination format using a deck of 3 Beyblades.
Subscribers of Uhtend participated in a raffle with Himanshu, Kiaan and Ritesh winning prizes:

The tournament concluded with Neell defeating Kiaan in the finals, here we were all gathered after the finals:

Milestones we hit at Uhtend
We are now at 13 subscribers within one month of launch.
Our newsletter is currently at 450 members.
Our referral program is now live.
Subscribers get the first updates for all events now.
Roadblocks we hit at Uhtend
All payment gateways in India create a unique subscription link per user so we need to create a unique link each time someone is interested in subscribing to us.
Gumroad and Dodo Payments are amazing and we use them on the frontend but they do not support AutoPay.
The user needs to personally text us to cancel a subscription on most of these platforms so that’s been a bummer.
What’s new with Uhtend in May 2025
We have created a form for users who want to subscribe to Uhtend using UPI Autopay — https://tally.so/r/w2Vogg
Our website’s frontend now uses Dodo Payments for subscriptions. Highly recommend them for subscriptions and digital products sale.
Gumroad is still active, though we have turned off the one month trial — subscribe here: https://beta.uhtend.com/l/membership
We are actively reaching out to venues and brands for sponsored events.
This month we will test a “Bring your plus one“ system for our subscribers for certain events.
We are planning to host a Pokemon TCG fan hangout for close to 30 folks with perks for subscribers.
Simplified sponsorship structure for events: PPE (pay per event, starts at ₹500) and MEB (monthly event budget, starts at ₹30K per month); this will enable us to work with small local businesses as well as bigger brands to power our events.
Our website had a few changes with respect to layout and button sizes especially on the mobile view.
All Uhtendees (aka subscribers) were invited to a WhatsApp group for first hand updates on events we are doing.
Reduced call duration for brands that want to understand what we do, this link is open for general queries too: https://cal.com/anthonysmendes/uhtend?overlayCalendar=true
We will be back on Friday for updates on upcoming events!
See ya!
